Manifesto: Brussels for Kids

Since November 2023, a broad coalition of associations and experts in the field of children and youth's rights, pedagogy, and public health has been built around the following question: how can we make public spaces more liveable and welcoming for children?

Experts observe that children are going out less and less often, and that parents are postponing the age at which children are allowed to go out on their own, for example to school. This increasingly sedentary mode has long-term consequences on children's health. How can this trend be reversed?
